The World, Setting and Powers

It is 2021, and the world is constantly changing. A world where about a third of the people is born with unique gifts and powers. Some are so immense that they can alter the world, others are so minuscule that they barely matter. Whatever your power, if born with it, are you so called a 'Powerborn'. Born with powers that no other human can use. Something that isn't always a great gift, but sometimes a curse. In the long history of human, have those Powerborn seemingly always existed; in old times considered to be Gods, at other times seen as witches and bringer of death, and just recently, seen as lesser beings with less rights than humans.

Not until late 80's and early 90's, did the view of these people called mutants change, thanks to an organisation of heroes called Magnum Opus. Society changed and mutants become known as Powerborn, and they got the same rights as humans around them. Though even today are there lots of badly hidden hate against Powerborns, and there are still plenty of hate-groups aimed towards Powerborns. Some become heroes, some become villains, and some just want to live a normal live. It is up to you to decide your fate. Powerborn Once called mutants, freaks, sickos and other names, have many nations worldwide adapted to call those with unique powers for Powerborn. Words like mutant is considered slur in many places, though it wont stop people from using such words. In many countries are there special schools to help Powerborns to grown and learn to use their abilities, and work as any other school humans use. Even if they dont become heroes or use their abilities for their work, do Powerborns go through it simply to understand their abilities. This is simply to prevent that they accidentally use their power and hurt someone or themselves. A Powerborn might have numerous powers. Some have just one, others have many more, though a general rule is that someone with just one power often have it far stronger, while someone with many are often weaker.

Magnum Opus Known worldwide for being the first Super Hero group, as well brought changes to the world by bringing equality between humans and powerborn. Created in the late 80's with heroes like Nico Smith, Kyler Sharp, Sam Willis and Valencia Espina, and still today is the group active though under new management and many of the old heroes are gone. Still today, is Magnum Opus hailed as the greatest thing to happen the powerborn, fighting the inequality and made the changes we see today. Polymath Advanced Technology (PAT) & Sirius Pharmaceutical Created by Cain 'Polymath' Brookes that lead the insurgency group called Red Clover, that later became part of Magnum Opus. In the mid 90's, did Cain, a genius scientist and inventor, found the company P.A.T, to create and invent machines to help people worldwide. Cain created the advanced drone and android systems that exist today, as well the Digiworld Hypernet, an digital super computer that store minds of people. In 2012, was Cain found dead and it was said he died of an heartattack, though his family claim that he was murdered. Sirius Pharmaceutical was created hundreds of years ago by Nico Smith and his siblings, then known as simply Sirius. With the decades to come, did their research in medicine and science excel that of any other institution in the world, though in the 80's had it changed under the leadership of Morgan Farbank. It became known for experimenting on powerborns, as well stealing powers and making drugs, something revealed in the early 90's. The company fell to ruins some years after Morgans death, and was once again rebuilt by Nico. Though he left it later, leaving it in good hands with Denise Jackman, former owner of Blue Flame Corp. Today, is Sirius Pharmaceutical considered to be an outstanding company, though their bloody history still lingers around it.

Proud Puritan Evolution (PPT) Created in the 60's, was the PPT at their peak in the 80's, driven by hatred and fear against powerborns. They used violence towards those born with powers, and had an extreme negative view on powerborn. Even today is there remnants of the group, that refuse to accept that powerborns are equal to humans. In their views are real and pure humans better than any mutant, seeing them as their blood is defected. Duo their extreme views and many horrible crimes they committed, have they become classified as an terrorist group, aimed at powerborns.

Power Schools

As mentioned earlier, are there unique schools to help powerborns to learn about their abilities and history, to come and understand who they are and their worth. There are multiple schools in the world, though some of the most famous once are Sharp Triad School, Twilight Extraordinary High and Abyssian Educational. All three have their main schools in Maverick City, and are considered prestigious.

Maverick City The greatest city in America, and is the representation of New York in Unlimited Powers. Most of the prestigious Powerborn schools are in MC, as well the base for many agencies and hero groups like Magnum Opus. Many of the stories happens in this marvelous city of hopes and crushed dreams.
