It have been 120 years since Naruto became Hokage, and he with all other heroes of the past have since long pass away. While they left immense mark on history, did the peace and bond created by the Seventh Hokage and the other villages, sadly not last forever. After many political turmoils between nations was war brewing once again, and with Yukigakure striking Sunagakure, was the Fifth Shinobi War a fact. A war that shouldn't be a problem for Suna to handle, if not by the betrayal of Konoha that sided with Yuki, and in an instant was the entire ninja world thrown into war once again.
Many lives where lost, as the war raged on for years. Hatred and blood stained the very earth they lived on, and peace would only be achieved after the world made Tenjou Tenge take the blame for it all. The peace treaty was signed in Yamigakure, and is called the Yami Treaty, and it was also the place where the leader of Tenjou Tenge, Tatami Iwashi, was executed for his crimes to the world.
The war had been costly, and Konoha payed the largest price as they lost 80% of their Shinobis, and they could no longer hold the title of a 'Great Village'. Instead would Otogakure that had grown massively take the place as the fifth Great Village. It have been 30 years since then, and today there is once again a frail peace as Konoha have started to move and desire to gain power once again.
There is plenty of secrecy happening in the world, and rumors that whispers about hidden scrolls that is left behind by the kages and heroes of the past. Maybe true, maybe false, but many seek it just to gain that knowledge and power. Not to mention that new chakra beasts have been spotted, and all villages seek them to gain their power. It is a time of instability, as everyone lives on the knives edge. What will happen now, is up to you.
VILLAGES As before is there so called Five Great Villages, that have each an kage and have great power and influence in the world. However, duo the latest war did Konoha lose almost all of its power and instead did Otogakure take their position. The Five Great Villages are; - Iwagakure - Kumogakure - Sunagakure - Kirigakure - Otogakure Other Villages;

IWAGAKURE
The village hidden among rock and stone, with the greatest natural defense in the world. It have manage to keep itself neutral in most cases just by holding their own, and lost the least from the war. Thus they managed to keep a strong economy and population, making it today the strongest of the villages. Iwagakure Taijutsu is now also ranked as the greatest in the world, thanks to the previous Tsuchikage, Takamura Dokon. A much loved Tsuchikage, that sadly passed away 5 years ago duo her body simply giving up, duo health complications from birth. Taking over after Dokon is the hardliner Yamamoto Takamura that want to close of the village from the rest of the world.

KUMOGAKURE
While not as strong as Iwagakure, have Kumogakure improved their standings in the world as a cultural center of art and music. As well their craftsmanship is levels above others and is a massive export for the village and country. They have plenty of shinobis, only beaten by Iwagakure. Though some mystery surrounds the current Raikage, that never shown their face nor used their voice.

SUNAGAKURE
Suna might have suffered greatly under the war, but somehow have the hardy people bounced back and is today the most populated village. This is duo the influx of immigrants that escaped the war from other villages, to find shelter and protection in Suna, and today many still live in the desert. The current Kazekage is Tatami Izami, the younger brother of the infamous terrorist Tatami Iwashi. At the beginning did many suspect that the Kazekage would be leniant towards his brother, but he was in fact the first one to veto for death penalty.

KIRIGAKURE
In the turmoil that was the war did Kiri struggle even further with an civil war. Two factions where formed, where they supported each a different side in the war. Only after the Fifth Shinobi War was over, could the village come to peace as well, but the wound that had been created was enormous. Since then did Kiri decide upon having 2 Mizukages, that represent the two sides of the civil war.

OTOGAKURE
Once a village created by the infamous Orochimaru almost 200 years ago, is it now a village of science and future. Their technology and research is far greater than any other village, and compensate their low numbers with technological marvel. After the Fifth Shinobi War would Otogakure take the spot after Konoha, as the fifth great village. They only had one Ishakaze so far, Sasaki Keiko, that is now at an very old age and is looking for a replacement so she can retire from duty.
