Never stop digging

 

The world was covered in a rain of fire.
A rain of meteors struck earth and destroyed most of its surface; leaving scorching fires all over the planet. What was worse, was the flames being of an alien material, radioactive that destroyed everything.
Yet humans survived; many had vanished down the earth, long down in tunnels and mines, safe from the fire and radioactive waste on the surface. Though just a scrap of humanity survived, had some nations prepared and built machiens, advanced robots and diggers that quickly dug down the earth.
Accepting their faith, did mankind, separated from each other, dig futher down to escape the danger on the surface.

No one know how long time it was, all they remember is the caves and life down there. The machines have been modified and repaired thousands of times over ages, now called DiggerZ and is the colonies hope; they would dig and find water, new areas free from radioactivity, free from monsters and danger. Humans have changed and adapt to the hazzardous enviroment they live in; but their numbers are dwindling as fewer and fewer children are born alive. Colonies are vanish one by one, destroyed by war between them, or unable to defend against natures cruel effects and beasts roaming the darkness.

DiggerZ will follow the young man Dyke; born with paralyzed legs, does he possess a unique ability to feel and 'see' the radioactivity around them, making him a crucial part in the DiggerZ team. As well his life long friend Rithra, a young girl that was born without arms and later getting mechanical limbs equipped, and put to work in the toxic waste-fields. 
With them, is scattered friends and survivers, as they try to live through each day, searching for a new hope; the surface.
